Eliza Kabacoff Thomas was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up both in Austin, TX and New Orleans, LA. Thomas attended Columbia University’s Barnard College in New York City, where she studied Italian and art history, earning a B.A. in 1996, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.

Thomas received her training at the Parsons School of Design and, since 2003, at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center. Galleries that have featured her work include Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, TX; Grand Contemporary in Lafayette, LA; and Octavia Art Gallery in New Orleans, LA and Houston, TX.

Thomas currently lives and works in Austin, Texas.
