Brenda Bogart
Brenda Bogart is a Dallas artist renowned for her compelling and conversation-starting collage work and paintings of famous, historical figures from Lincoln to Einstein. A visit to her airy studio readily reveals her inspiration. It is filled with a fascinating collection of centuries old handwritten letters, colorful handmade papers from around the world, plus various eclectic objects she has collected during her travels. She holds a degree in Interior Design from TCU and studied painting and drawing at SMU extensively under Mary Vernon and Barnaby Fitzgerald. After a career in interior design working for Wilson & Associates, then operating her own firm in the Dallas area, she turned to art full time in 2006. Her latest passion has been hosting collaborative collage workshops to benefit Jubilee Park and Community Center, a group who has revitalized a neighborhood in Southeast Dallas.
“Being able to share my passion for art with others, while simultaneously building awareness and raising money for a remarkable group that directly impacts the community around me is a dream come to true.” – Brenda
